Who We Are

Bearing Wine creates relaxed, small-group wine experiences in Sonoma County built around curiosity, connection, and Exploring Wine Together. We are not a party-bus operator or a volume-driven tour company. We are building thoughtful, low-impact experiences for guests who want to learn, ask good questions, enjoy the setting, and connect with the people and stories behind the wines they taste.

Our Mission

At Bearing Wine, our mission is simple: to guide people into the heart of wine with curiosity, connection, and joy. We believe wine is more than a beverage. It is a story, a place, a person, a conversation, and a moment worth sharing. Bearing Wine exists to bring those moments to life through relaxed small-group experiences built around curiosity, connection, and Exploring Wine Together.

Our Guests

  • Small groups, typically 5–8 guests.
  • Curious, respectful, and prepared before arrival.
  • A mix of beginners and enthusiasts who value authentic hospitality.
  • Guests who want to engage with each winery, not simply check stops off a list.
  • People who are encouraged to ask questions, compare favorites, and discover wineries they may want to revisit on their own.

How Bearing Wine Works With Wineries

Bearing Wine is designed to be a low-impact, high-quality hospitality partner. Groups are intentionally small, guests are prepared in advance, and each visit is built around respect for the winery's staff, timing, setting, and story. Our goal is to bring curious, engaged guests who appreciate the experience, ask thoughtful questions, and leave with a stronger connection to the winery.

What We Offer Wineries

  • Respectful, manageable small-group visitation.
  • Guests who arrive with context about your winery, people, and approach.
  • A host who manages timing, group energy, and expectations before and during the visit.
  • A guest culture centered on curiosity, warmth, and appreciation rather than disruption.
  • Active encouragement for guests to establish their own direct relationship with wineries through wine purchases, return visits, mailing-list signups, and memberships.
  • A values-aligned local partner who wants to represent your hospitality thoughtfully.

What We Ask

  • Ability to accommodate small groups of approximately 5–8 guests by appointment.
  • Clear tasting fee structure and booking expectations.
  • A welcoming, down-to-earth environment where questions are encouraged.
  • Authentic story sharing from hospitality staff, educators, winemakers, or owners when available.
  • Open communication around timing, guest count, cancellations, and any operational needs.

What Makes a Strong Bearing Wine Fit

  • Warm, authentic hospitality.
  • Staff who enjoy conversation and guest curiosity.
  • Wines and stories that spark discussion and discovery.
  • A setting that supports relaxed small-group interaction.
  • An experience that feels distinct, memorable, and true to the winery.
  • Clientele predisposed to wine purchasing and club conversion.

Why Partner With Us

Bearing Wine helps guests explore wine without intimidation or pretense. We prepare guests to appreciate the people, places, and choices behind each wine, then let each winery tell its own story. Our hope is that guests leave not only having enjoyed the tasting, but remembering the people they met, the wines that surprised them, and the wineries they want to return to on their own. We intentionally encourage guests to continue that relationship directly with the winery through purchases, future visits, and memberships when the connection feels right.
